The Storm King Art Center, a sculpture garden in upstate New York, is all about finding your angle. Not THE angle, because with many of the pieces here (Mark di Suvero, Andy Goldsworthy) there is no ONE angle that gets the whole picture, just the one angle, or the perspective, that makes the best sense for you, the viewer of this modern sculpture.
We spent a day here and barely got through the South Fields and some of Museum Hill. We'll return soon to explore the North Woods and the Meadows.

Andy Goldsworthy’s Storm King Wall looks like a typical stone wall at first until you
notice the amazing precision in stone piling and how long it stretches over the Storm King
Art Center grounds — 1,500 tons of local stone stretching over 2,200 feet —
including around the trees and, apparently, under a pond.
A bit of history of about construction: Even by the 14th century, much of the shaping of stone by the Stone Mason was done at
the quarry itself, to save in transport -- "A Short History of Technology."
